Garden Grid

Terms of use

Effective date: 27 September 2026. These terms describe the intended use of Garden Grid and the limits of this educational calculator collection.

Purpose and scope

The calculators provide arithmetic results under the assumptions shown on each page. Articles explain methods and worked examples. The collection is intended for learning, estimation and checking routine calculations. It does not establish that a product, design, installation, recipe or plan is suitable for a particular real-world use.

Your inputs and decisions

You are responsible for selecting the appropriate calculator, checking units and entering measurements that match the model. Defaults are illustrations, not recommendations. Input validation detects certain numeric or geometric problems; it cannot verify the truth of a measurement or all conditions in your situation.

Precision and availability

Browser calculations use standard floating-point arithmetic. Very large numbers, rounding and nearly singular formulas can reduce numerical accuracy. Non-finite results are rejected where applicable. Copying a result preserves the displayed value, which may be rounded. The pages are supplied without a promise of uninterrupted availability, a guaranteed response time or a particular outcome.

Subject-specific limits

Use measurements from the actual bed, container or watering zone and keep them with a dated garden record. Defaults illustrate arithmetic rather than plant-specific requirements. Soil condition, weather, crop variety and growth stage can change what amount or spacing is appropriate.

Acceptable use

Use the site in a way that respects other people and the systems hosting it. Do not misrepresent illustrative outputs as certified measurements, fabricate an endorsement or use a contact route to send abusive or unlawful material. When sharing a calculation, include enough assumptions and units for someone else to understand it.

Content and external references

Site-specific text, code and plotted figures in the delivered edition may be adapted by the recipient as described in the package license. Linked external materials retain their own terms. Naming a reference provider does not imply affiliation, sponsorship or approval of this collection.

Corrections and changes

A useful correction includes the page, exact inputs, actual output and the expected calculation with its source. Use Contact to prepare that report. The operator may update formulas, examples and these terms when the implementation changes. These statements do not purport to remove rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
